Our school friendly services have been developed over the last eighteen years and our passion, expertise and professionalism ensures our activities stay fresh and appealing. Our success has come from building strong relationships with schools that provide us with positive and constructive feedback to keep us on our sandy toes.
The ocean can be a powerful and awakening experience for a child, often creating the foundations for a lifelong love affair. Living in Cornwall, we are lucky that it is so easy for local schools to introduce children to what it has to offer and try out a range of exhilarating watersports to experience it in different ways. Our location is well known for Rick Stein, but we really are a great place for school trips too. That is why we have teamed up with accommodation providers to make our programmes accessible to schools, colleges and educational establishments across the UK.
Harlyn Surf School offers a fantastic variety of courses for schools, college, universities and language schools. We realise that choice is important and offer activities such as surfing lessons, surf safety courses (combination of surf lessons and lifesaving skills), bodyboarding, stand up paddleboarding, and coasteering. We have been awarded an Adventure Activity Licence as a mark of our good safety management and we are one of only a handful of Surf Life Saving GB Accredited Lifeguard training centres so you can rest assured your pupils will be in safe hands!
All of our courses are available as a residential or non – residential option, so whatever you are looking for to meet the needs of your school, college and university, we can help. We will even be pleased to put together bespoke courses for you that allow you to incorporate activities from completely different parts of the school, college or university curriculum, such as a geography field trip, exploring the beach environment or art, for example sketching the flora and fauna in the vicinity or stunning Cornwall seascapes.
